Help Us Save East London Gymnastics Centre – Use #SAVEELGC!

Dear Members, Families, and Friends of East London Gymnastics Centre,
We hope this message finds you well. As many of you may already know, East London Gymnastics Centre (ELGC) is at risk of being closed due to proposed development in the area. THE LAND IS PRIVATELY OWED and we are working hard with the council to protect the centre. This is an urgent situation, and we need your help to make our voices heard and save the centre that has been a second home to so many of our athletes, families, and the wider community.

For decades, ELGC has been a place of inspiration, discipline, and growth for thousands of young members, providing them with world-class training facilities, nurturing their talents, and helping them achieve their dreams. Losing this centre would be a devastating blow, not just to current members, but to future generations of athletes who will be denied the opportunity to benefit from this incredible space.

Here’s how you can help:
We are launching a social media campaign to spread awareness and show just how much this centre means to all of us. We need everyone to share their stories, photos, and experiences using the hashtag #SAVEELGC on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Here are a few things you can do right now:

-
Post on Social Media: Share a post, story, or video of your time at ELGC. Tell people why the centre is important to you, your family, or your friends. Don’t forget to include the hashtag #SAVEELGC!

2. Tag Local Media and Officials: Help us spread the word further by tagging local media outlets, community leaders, and government officials in your posts. Let them know how essential ELGC is to the East London community.

3. Share with Friends and Family: Encourage those around you to get involved. The more support we have, the stronger our message will be. Here is the Link to Change.org petition

Together, we can show the decision-makers how much this centre means to us and why it must remain open.
Your voice and participation are critical at this time. Let’s rally together and use the power of social media to protect the future of ELGC. Every post, every tag, and every share counts.

Thank you for your continued support of our gym and community. Let’s save East London Gymnastics Centre!
